My Coaching Approach

The reason most professionals stay stuck isn’t a lack of information. It’s a gap between what they know and what they’re able to do and that gap is sometimes driven by something operating below the surface: a pattern rooted in past experience, a belief about what’s possible, a decision-making default that made sense once and now keeps producing the same result. This work starts there. Before we build a strategy, we build understanding and it’s where the methodology matters.

What Grounds This Work:

Adult Learning Theory:

Adults don’t change through information transfer. They change through experience, reflection, and application. Every engagement is designed with this in mind, which is why sessions include structured reflection.

Organizational Psychology:

Individual behavior doesn’t exist in a vacuum. Your role, your team, your industry’s culture, and the structural dynamics you’re operating inside all shape how you think and what you believe is possible. This work accounts for that context and uses it.

Systems Thinking:

Organizations are systems. Careers are systems. What looks like a personal problem can often be a structural one; and addressing it requires seeing the whole picture, not just the presenting issue.

Behavioral Change Methodology:

Sustainable change requires understanding what’s actually driving current behavior, not just naming what needs to be different. I use evidence-based assessments and coaching frameworks to identify root patterns.

Coaching & Consulting Services

I offer tailored coaching and professional development services.

What I Do:

There’s a specific kind of plateau that high-performing professionals experience and it’s different from the kind that comes from not knowing enough or not working hard enough.

It’s the plateau that comes from operating inside a career or a role that no longer fits how you’ve grown. From having enough self-awareness to know something needs to change, but not enough distance from the situation to see clearly what that is or why every attempt to address it keeps producing the same result. That’s the work I do.

Key Focus Areas Include:

I work with mid-career professionals primarily in law, corporate, technology, healthcare, and adjacent fields who are navigating transitions like:

The Realization that technical credibility alone doesn’t tell you what to do next

The Identity Shift that comes with moving from expert to leader

✓The Disengagement that sets in around year four when the learning curve has flattened

The Career Decision that can’t be made by just making a pros and cons list

What I Deliver:

The gap between what professionals know how to do and what they’re actually able to do under pressure costs organizations more than they typically account for in turnover, in succession planning, in the quiet exodus of high performers who outgrow an environment before anyone notices.

I work with organizations to address that gap at the system level  assessing what’s actually needed for development and designing interventions that support change management at the individual and team level.

Key Focus Areas Include:

Leadership Transition Coaching: for newly promoted managers navigating the shift from individual contributor to people leader.

✓Coaching Program Design: redesigning mentoring to develop judgment, not just transfer task knowledge.

Optimize:Coaching Skills for Internal Leaders: equipping managers and HR professionals to use evidence-based coaching frameworks without outsourcing every hard conversation
